Arudra Engineers is one of the largest service providers in India, offering a wide variety of cleaning , advanced NDT inspection, RLA inspection and maintenance services for Pipelines,Boilers, Condensers and Heat Exchangers in power generators across the world.
We are the leaders in the field of Chemical Cleaning of High Pressure Boilers,
Pipelines and Equipment in Power Plants, Petrochemicals, and Refineries across India.
With an unblemished track record spanning more than three decades, we deliver
excellence in every project.
Our strength lies in our highly trained and experienced personnel, who are
passionate about their work and uphold the highest standards of quality, timely
completion, and environmental responsibility. We are fully equipped with pump
skids of various capacities, associated valves, and piping systems, enabling us
to execute projects on a turnkey basis.
Our dedicated Technical Services Wing analyzes all types of scales and recommends
the most effective solvents. If required, mock cleaning can be performed at our
fully equipped laboratory. For Greenfield project sites where heating facilities
are not available, we can mobilize boilers ranging from 1 Ton/hour to high-capacity
boilers generating superheated steam at 330°C at 20 Ton/hour with a pressure of
17 Kg/cm².
Arudra introduces a state-of-the-art inspection technique to detect leaks in the
negative pressure parts of Steam Condensers. Air-in-leakage is one of the major
obstacles affecting the condenser's vacuum system, significantly reducing the
equipment's performance.
Air ingress blankets the tube surface from the steam side, reducing heat transfer
efficiency as air is a poor conductor of heat. Increased backpressure from
air-in-leakage also elevates dissolved oxygen levels in the condensate, leading to
deposits in boiler water walls, superheater tubes, and turbine blades, ultimately
causing generation loss and increased fuel consumption.
Early detection and rectification of leaks greatly enhance condenser performance.
Therefore, maintaining the negative pressure system of the condenser or turbine
should never be neglected.
Arudra Engineers Private Limited offers complete Retubing services for Heat
Exchangers, Coolers, and Surface Condensers. We undertake tube replacement for both
"U" Tube and Straight Tube equipment. Our highly qualified and skilled
engineers and technicians handle every stage of the process, including removal of
old tubes, tube sheet surface preparation, insertion of new tubes, flaring, bell
mouth forming, and tube-to-tube sheet welding as per customer specifications.
Execution Process
We have successfully executed projects involving various metallurgical combinations
of tubes and tube plates. Tube replacement can be carried out either partially or
fully for Heat Exchangers, Coolers, and Surface Condensers, based on client
requirements.
Arudra is fully equipped with all necessary tools and tackles to execute Retubing
projects on a turnkey basis, maintaining the highest professional standards. We are
also capable of supplying tubes and completing full turnkey Retubing solutions.

“Bullet Cleaning”: Cooling water sources often cause heavy tube fouling,
affecting heat transfer efficiency and reducing the lifespan of Condensers and Heat
Exchangers. Power Stations, Refineries, Petrochemical plants, and various industries
around the world use Bullet Cleaning as a highly effective, fast, economical, safe,
and environmentally friendly method for condenser tube cleaning.
With over sixteen years of proven expertise, we have mastered this cleaning technique
and successfully cleaned over 15 million tubes. Today, Arudra executes
Bullet Cleaning projects simultaneously across seven to eight global sites. We also
perform cleaning during partial isolation—meaning one part of the condenser remains
operational while the other is cleaned.
Technique:
Spring-loaded tube cleaners (bullets) are shot through fouled condenser tubes using
specially designed water guns at a pressure of 10–15 Kg/cm². As the bullets
travel linearly through the tube, they scrape off deposits and corrosion scales.
The flushing water then removes the loosened deposits, leaving the tube interior
clean and optimized for maximum heat transfer. The bullets exiting the other side
are collected, cleaned, and reused.
Arudra Engineers Private Limited is a multi-disciplined engineering company with
strong expertise in Industrial Cleaning, Industrial Inspection, Mechanical
Maintenance, and Project Contract Activities. Over the years, the company has
gained extensive experience in Hydro Jetting / Water Jetting for various
industrial applications.
Hydro Jetting / Water Jetting has revolutionized the use of water as a powerful
tool for de-scaling and internal cleaning. The equipment consists of
high-pressure plunger pumps driven by electric or diesel engines, customized
according to project requirements.
Why Hydro Jetting?
• Cleans pipelines or tubes to their fullest capacity
• Prevents damage to equipment caused by rust formation
• Superior to traditional rodding techniques
• Reduces emergency drain problems
• Minimizes the risk of business downtime in commercial facilities
Dry Ice Blasting, also known as CO₂ Blasting, is a highly advanced and efficient
cleaning method similar to sand, bead, or soda blasting—where a cleaning media is
accelerated in a pressurized air stream to impact and clean the surface.
In Dry Ice Cleaning, however, the dry ice particles vaporize instantly upon
impact due to sublimation. This unique property ensures that the process
generates no secondary waste — the only residue left to collect is the actual
contaminant removed from the surface.
This revolutionary cleaning process has transformed industrial maintenance by
providing a fast, safe, non-abrasive, and environmentally friendly cleaning solution.
Arudra Engineers Pvt. Ltd. undertakes comprehensive Eddy Current Testing (ECT)
services, a widely used Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) method for detecting and
characterizing defects, flaws, and discontinuities in non-ferrous tubes.
This electromagnetic technique is extensively applied in Power Plants, Petrochemical
Industries, Refineries, and other sectors for inspecting Tubular Heat Exchangers,
Coolers, and Condensers.
Eddy Current Testing is a surface and near-surface inspection method capable of
identifying very shallow defects such as fatigue cracks, intergranular stress
corrosion cracks, and subsurface flaws like inclusions or voids up to a depth of
approximately 6 mm. It can also detect pitting, cracking, MIC damage,
support wear, erosion, and material discontinuities in new tubes.
ECT is a high-speed, highly sensitive, versatile, and reliable inspection
technique. Conventional Eddy Current Testing is performed as per
ASTM Section V, Article 08 and Article 08 Appendix 1 for non-ferromagnetic
tubing, including stainless steel, titanium, copper, brass, and cupronickel alloys.
We utilize state-of-the-art equipment such as INSIS-EC & EX and the
MS-5800 advanced multi-frequency ECT machines. These systems feature parallel
processor architecture built around an embedded Pentium processor, with powerful
software capabilities for data acquisition, archival, analysis, and reporting.
