OIL FILTRATION SYSTEMS

About Oil Filtration System

Oil Filtration Systems® manufactures Oil Purification Equipment designed to remove contamination (water, particulate, varnish, and/or entrained gases) from a wide variety of fluids, including Turbine Oil, Hydraulic Oil, Gear Oil, and Fuel Oil (#2 Diesel Fuel). When used in conjunction with our high-efficiency filter elements rated Beta(c)>1000 in a variety of micron sizes, our systems will enable you to achieve optimal fluid cleanliness to meet or exceed the most stringent OEM cleanliness specifications.

We also operate the largest, newest, and best maintained Rental Fleet of highly advanced oil and fuel purification equipment in the industry. In addition, our Field Services Division has highly qualified and experienced technicians performing a variety of filtration and flushing services worldwide. We mobilize quickly for emergency outages, scheduled outages, routine maintenance, and pre-commissioning of new equipment.

Vacuum Dehydration Oil Purification Systems (VDOPS) – Oil Purifier

Maintaining absolute fluid cleanliness is essential for maximizing the life of critical wear components in rotational equipment. Contaminants such as moisture and particulates in hydraulic and lubrication oils can cause severe equipment wear, unexpected downtime, and decreased operational efficiency.

Ensuring clean oil dramatically extends the life of machinery, reduces equipment failures, and increases overall profitability. The harmful effects of poor oil quality have been well documented across all industries, making purification systems a vital part of proactive maintenance programs.

Oil Filtration Systems® designs and manufactures the most effective and user-friendly Vacuum Dehydrators (VDOPS) available today. Engineered for superior performance, these systems maximize water extraction rates while using premium components to ensure long-term, maintenance-free operation.

Recirculating your hydraulic and lubrication oils through a VDOPS unit maintains optimal fluid cleanliness, protects rotating equipment, extends component life, and significantly reduces downtime—delivering substantial cost savings to your operation.

Varnish Removal Systems

Our Varnish Removal Systems (VRS) were developed to address the need to properly remove varnish (also known as lacquer, sludge, or tar) commonly found in various lubrication and hydraulic systems. Our process utilizes either granular adsorbent media or depth media filter elements to effectively remove dissolved and suspended oil degradation products (i.e. the cause of varnish). Varnish removal is accomplished with oxidatively stable media, engineered to selectively remove only the varnish-causing contaminants without disturbing the oil’s additive package.

Lube Oil Coalescer Systems

The harmful effects of moisture and particulate contamination in turbine lube oil have been well documented. Oil Filtration Systems® has combined the latest innovations in coalescer technology and pleated microglass filter media in one system to achieve optimal fluid cleanliness in steam and gas turbines. Utilizing high efficiency coalescer/separator filter elements, these systems are designed to quickly remove large amounts of free water from turbine lube oil, achieving overall water content as low as 150 PPM. At the same time, the high efficiency pleated microglass filter elements are capable of achieving very low particle counts to as low as an ISO 15/13/10 Cleanliness Level. Coalescing technology enables you to remove bulk free water at extremely fast rates – previously this could only be done by centrifuges. Coalescing technology outperforms centrifuges, is simpler to use, costs less to maintain, and is lower in initial purchase price.
