Munters is a global leader in climate solutions for mission-critical processes. We offer innovative, efficient and sustainable solutions for customers in industries where controlling temperature and humidity is mission critical. Our solutions reduce customers’ climate and environmental impact through efficient resource consumption. In this way our solutions contribute to better climate, higher efficiency and reduced carbon emissions. Sustainability is an important part of Munters’ business strategy and value creation.
The unique design of GLASdek GX30 gives it high strength and durability with
exceptional cooling and humidification rates. It is made from a flame-retardant
material fortified with special rigidifying agents. GLASdek GX30 is the right
choice in situations where strict adherence to fire codes is required.
The media is Fire Rated UL900 and ULC-S111 Class 1. GLASdek GX30 is also
GREENGUARD Gold certified under UL’s certification program, as having low chemical
emissions, validating that it meet the highest industry standards globally.
Our GLASdek GX40 high-performance evaporative media is engineered to provide
maximum cooling and humidification, very low pressure drop and years of reliable
service.
The media is made from inorganic, non-combustible material and impregnated with
ceramic double coating. It allows the use of water straight from the tap and
rarely need for water treatment. No silver ionization filter is needed.
GLASdek GX40 is provided in cassettes that are tailored for use with the FA6™
frame system. FA6 comes in a wide range of standard sizes that conform to all
typical air handling unit dimensions.
Excellent cooling efficiency due to the unique design, manufacturing methods
and materials used.
High face velocity allows the air to travel through the pad without water
droplet carryover.
Low pressure drop allows the high velocity air to travel through the pad
without significant resistance.
Self-cleaning design due to steeper angle of unequal flute design, flushing
dirt and debris from the surface of the pad.
Simple to maintain due to the fact that in most cases, routine maintenance can
be performed while systems still are operating.
CELdek® Series evaporative cooling pad is used in systems where high efficiency
cooling is required. It can be used for many different cooling purposes but is
particularly suitable for cooling of livestock buildings and greenhouses when
higher air velocity is required.
The green stripe pad consists of specially impregnated and corrugated cellulose
paper sheets with different flute angles, that have been bonded together. This
unique design yields a cooling pad with high evaporation efficiency while still
operating at a very low pressure drop. In addition, scaling is kept to a minimum
and no water carry-over occurs due to the fact that the water is directed to the
air inlet side of the pad.

WDP is a complete water supply and drainage system for wetting of evaporative
cooling pad walls. The complete system includes gutter system, water tank, water
pump, water supply and drainage kit, pad wall stabilisation and ending kit.
The WDP system has been specially designed to ensure even wetting of the
CELdek® evaporative cooling pad, continuous water recirculation and mechanical
stabilisation of the pad wall.
The WDP system has a modular design, which allows for high flexibility in matching
desired length of the pad wall (usually a multiple of standard pad width – 600 mm).
The pressurised water is supplied at the top of the CELdek evaporative cooling pad
via a distribution header. The distribution header has small calibrated holes
orientated upwards. This design feature prevents clogging and thus ensures
efficient water distribution over the entire wall. This is true even in cases where
the evaporative cooling pads are not perfectly horizontally aligned, for example
due to ground movements.
The WETdek evaporative cooling system combines nature’s process of evaporation with Munters exclusive features providing precise temperature and humidity control.
» High quality, corrosion resistant construction, and a minimum number of mechanical components ensure reliable operation.
» Custom Airflow Volumes: Airflow rates of 20,000 to 100,000+ scfm are available. For larger volumes of air, multiple units may be stacked or combined.
» High Cooling Efficiency: Up to 99% efficiency can be achieved using media depths between 4” and 24”.
» Low system pressure drop.
» Can be programmed for automatic maintenance during operation.
» Munters GLASdek® and CELdek® assure extended, reliable media life.
Munters FA6 units have been designed to offer the best evaporative cooling and
humidification solution for a wide range of industrial applications.
At the heart of the solution is our unique, class leading GLASdek™ GX40 media,
which is ceramic coated, highly efficient and fireproof. The media is housed in
reinforced steel, making the solution robust and easy to install.
The FA6 is a high performance, low operating cost solution which is available in
a wide range of sizes designed for integration into air-handling systems within
both residential and industrial buildings.
TURBOdek® is a high efficiency, low pressure drop, low drift media that delivers
maximum cooling to optimize combustion turbine output. Turbines utilizing
evaporative cooling systems have reported an increase in capacity as high as 20%
during peak summer demand. With TURBOdek installed, users have experienced an
additional 5% increase in cooling efficiency when compared to Munters’ standard
CELdek media.
Features include Munters’ patented unequal angle, unequal flute design for high
velocity evaporative cooling up to 750 fpm. TURBOdek is manufactured from
Munters’ heavy cellulose media that has been treated to resist deterioration and
is protected by Munters’ algae and weather resistant edge coating. This added
protection makes TURBOdek easier to clean and maintain, as well as, extends media
life.
The EXTRUdek water distribution system from Munters provides highly durable
means of mounting 150mm thick CELdek® evaporative cooling pads and supplying
water to the pads. Together these form an ideal complete system for incorporating
evaporative cooling into the ventilation system of a structure.
Corrosion of metal parts is a frequent problem amongst gutters used to mount
evaporative cooling pads. This leads to frequent leaks and a short life expectancy
on such systems. Additionally a lot of time can be wasted on maintenance by trying
to keep the system functional. In order to reduce the time and money spent on such
unnecessary activities and increase the life expectancy of such a system, all the
parts of the EXTRUdek system are manufactured in either extruded aluminium or
plastic, which provides for an extremely durable system.
The main structural components of the system are the top and bottom extruded
aluminium gutters. They have the dual purpose of holding the pads as well as
distributing the water. A perforated water distribution pipe with a unique
self-cleaning shape is in the top gutter. This allows for the even distribution
of water onto the top of the pads, eliminating dry streaks in the pads.
Munters Evaporative Precoolers for Chiller/Condenser (EPCC) are typically a
recirculation (water) type evaporative cooler with make up water via solenoid
and ball float, recirculating submersible pump, manual water bleed off (auto as
an option) and a Dump valve. Air passes through wetted CELdek® rigid evaporative
media, the ambient air temperature is lowered before it reaches the condenser
coil. This enables increased capacities to be gained from existing systems, or
sizing of condensers to be reduced, thereby reducing both operating and
installation cost. Compressor and condenser fan life is extended due to less
frequent operation.
The EPCC is most effective during hot, dry conditions when refrigeration and air
conditioning condenser performance is most critical, and the system is under the
highest load. Additional benefits year round include: prevention of dust and
other particles from clogging the condenser fins and can guarantee consistent
high efficiency for the entire life of the system. EPCC systems can be installed
on new units or retrofitted on to existing units to lower the electricity
consumption, boost the capacity and make them more environmentally friendly.
