With smart lighting you can manage the lighting in your home easily, and more efficiently. Smart bulbs screw into the existing sockets in your home and your phone can be used to provide full control of the lighting. It’s never been easier to create ambiance in your home, or set the lighting to match your activities. Control smart lighting via an app, with your voice, or using smart controls. And don’t worry, your good old switches also still work. It’s so much more than just a fancy way to control the lighting in your home. Smart lights actually help simplify and improve quality of life.
Explosion-proof lighting works by ensuring ignition of the flammable airborne specks
in the fixture, keeping the remains contained inside. In a typical lighting fixture,
the contacts, bulb, wiring and switches are exposed to the atmosphere.
Explosion-proof lights (like our XP162 light shown here) are designed to withstand
an ignition of the flammable material that happens inside the light itself, whereas
intrinsically safe lights are designed to not carry enough current to cause a spark
that could ignite the flammable material.
Whether in industrial or office settings, proper lighting makes all work tasks
easier. Appropriate lighting, without glare or shadows, can reduce eye fatigue
and headaches; it can prevent workplace incidents by increasing the visibility
of moving machinery and other safety hazards.
Dimming the lights can make the performance feel more dramatic or intimate.
Bright and obnoxious lights can make the performance feel confusing and even
terrifying. Color theory can do a lot to affect the mood. Harsh reds can often
mean danger and fear.
Lighting helps the audience receive context clues about the scenes and the plot line of a play or musical. Abnormal color changes can indicate hallucinations, dreams, and past encounters. What the light focuses on draws attention, like an important character in a scene. Intensity in lighting can provide scenic context.

Certified explosion proof lights are required by OSHA for hazardous locations, such
as areas containing flammable vapors, liquids or gases, or combustible dust or fibers.
It is these types of environments that help categorize what Class and Division an
explosion-proof light falls under.
Fluorescent is generally easier to find in studio lighting and does not overheat,
so that is what most studio photographers use. LED is a safer option to tungsten
because they tend to not overheat as much.
The most intense natural sources of light currently known in the cosmos are
gamma-ray bursts, which occur when some massive stars collapse to form black
holes or neutron stars, setting off powerful explosions as they do so.
Combined with a variety of detector types, our gas detection control panels offer a flexible range of solutions which are able to measure flammable, toxic and oxygen gases, report their presence and activate alarms or associated equipment.
Crowcon fixed gas monitoring systems are designed to be interfaced with manual call points, fire and gas detectors and distributed control systems (DCS). In addition each system can be engineered to drive remote annunciators and mimic panels.
That's why smoke detectors are so essential. They can warn you before you smell
smoke and give you time to get to safety. We recommend at least one smoke detector
on every level of your home, including the basement and the attic.
When an alarm is triggered, the smart smoke detectors use Wi-Fi or similar
communication technology to connect to your smart home hub (if you have one) and
an app on your smartphone. If you accidentally burn a batch of peanut butter
cookies and trigger a false alarm, you can use the phone app to silence the alarm.
Product control is mainly concerned with compiling profit and loss accounts from
products traded by the front office on a daily basis. In addition, controllers
analyse the figures on the P&L for risk and market trends as well as product
performance – assessing how the trader is performing in accordance with the market.
The primary responsibility for a product controller is to produce P&L for the
trading desk, substantiate the P&L numbers, explain the P&L to both the
traders and onshore regional controllers and ensure that they maintain a 'control'
environment.
