Double Disc Assembly

Double Disc Assembly

Our Double Disc Assembly (DDA) places two rupture discs in series. The discs may comprise two forward acting discs, two reverse acting discs or a combination of forward and reverse acting discs.

Should the primary disc rupture, the secondary disc prevents environmental pollution while the intermediate pressure sensor alerts maintenance teams of the need to replace the primary disc.

The key benefit of the DDA is the enhanced protection it affords for severe process conditions. Where corrosive substances or harsh chemicals may shorten the service life of the primary disc, the secondary disc will still offer full protection. This reduces leakage and affords excellent valve protection, consequently minimising process downtime following an overpressure event.

Pressure Pumping Protection

Oseco Safety Plug

Oseco Safety Plug

It all comes down to pressure in upstream oil and gas well completion. A service company's ability to manage extreme pressure variance within completions is a critical component to:

Providing a safe work environment in well completions

Reducing downtime and shortening upstream completion timelines

Protecting the well casing integrity

Sensors

Flo-Tel

Flo-Tel

Operating on a simple reed switch and magnet technology, the Flo-Tel sensor fits into a holder with a magnet on the rupture disc. When the rupture disc bursts, the magnet arcs away from the sensor, giving an open circuit signal. Flo-Tel is non-invasive to the process and is therefore unaffected by downstream pressure fluctuations or corrosion. This feature also eliminates leak paths and the risk of false alarms associated with traditional membrane-type detection systems. After rupturing, the disc is the only element that needs replacing, which eliminates the need for expensive re-wiring costs and maintenance planning.

Flo-Tel XD

Flo-Tel XD

Flo-Tel XD detects a burst rupture disc and transmits the break in continuity to a DCS. It is the first dual-certified Exd/EXia/b non-invasive system on the market to do this. It offers a significant advantage in that you can install it using the protection concepts Exd or Exia/b. This makes the detector extremely versatile, suitable for use in Zones 0, 1 and 2. Flo-Tel XD includes a certified junction box, with 3x M20 tappings and 2x M20 EXd stopping-plugs. The user may choose the vacant tapping(s) they wish to fit with M20 cable glands according to the protection concept they have chosen.

Sanitary Burst Detection

Sanitary Burst Detection

OsecoElfab offers innovative non-invasive, magnetic burst detection in addition to the traditional membrane-style detector. The non-invasive burst sensors offer several advantages over the membrane sensors:

They are non-invasive, which reduces the number of potential leak paths

They are re-usable

No re-wiring is required after disc activation – the sensor simply remains in place

OSS Sensor

OSS Sensor

The OsecoElfab sanitary sensor (OSS) is a membrane sensor designed for use with the PRO-S sanitary rupture disc only.

The burst sensor represents a simple, effective means of indicating the bursting of a rupture disc. Upon rupture, the disc alarm circuit is opened by the flowing media. The open circuit may be used to activate a variety of alarms, including computer controlled systems.

Vent-Tel (Sanitary)

Vent-Tel (Sanitary)

Vent-Tel is a non-invasive and fail-safe burst detection system. Operating via a simple N/O reed switch and magnet technology, the detector can trigger a safe and rapid shutdown of the process should an overpressure event occur.

Vent-Tel can be fitted to the full range of Elfab’s sanitary discs for biopharmaceutical applications. The detector is an independent, reusable solution mounted directly to the Tri-Clamp, making disc inspection and replacement quick and simple.

Bio-Tel

Bio-Tel

Bio-Tel has been designed specifically for use with the Bio-Gard rupture disc and is ideally suited to hygienic applications. It is supplied with a 2-meter cable with IP67 vibration-proof connection as standard. When used with the appropriate barrier/isolator, the Bio-Tel is deemed a simple apparatus in accordance with EN 50014 & EN50020, and can be used in Zone 1 potentially explosive atmospheres. As the Bio-Tel is located in a non-wetted area the standard gasket material is VITON®.

FLCOS Sensor

FLCOS Sensor

The OsecoElfab FLCOS combines overpressure protection with rupture detection. The uni-body construction makes the FLCOS the most rugged and dependable disc/sensor combination on the market and eliminates the need for additional sensors.

OE-Tel

OE-Tel

OE-Tel is a fail-safe magnetic detection system that provides reliable burst detection for our range of rupture disc threaded plug units.

Operating on simple reed switch and magnet technology, the sensor and the magnet are both situated within the OE-Tel body. When the disc bursts, the magnet moves away from the reed switch, and breaks the electrical connection.

SVT-03 Sensor

SVT-03 Sensor

The OsecoElfab SVT-03 Alarm Sensor is designed to detect the opening of an explosion vent. The SVT-03 Sensor can be added to any explosion vent prior to shipment. The sensor is intrinsically safe when used with an I.S. barrier and features a magnetic reed switch.

Vent-Tel (Panels)

Vent-Tel (Panels)

Vent-Tel is a non-invasive and fail-safe burst detection system. Operating via a simple N/O reed switch and magnet technology, the detector can trigger a safe and rapid shutdown of the process should an overpressure event occur. When fitted to explosion panels, Vent-Tel provides an instantaneous signal of panel actuation within any application.
